Position:                      Remote Ontario EAP Counsellor

Location :                     Remote – candidates located and licensed in Ontario

Our client is searching for permanent remote clinicians to provide counselling and support services to their clients based in Canada. The primary objective of this role will be to provide single-session and short-term telephonic and online counselling, ensuring effective and professional care.

SUMMARY:                            

The primary role of this position is to provide high quality and professional counselling and support service to employees of client companies telephonically and through digital platforms.  The position will be based at home and would require internet connectivity as well as a private office environment.

REQUIREMENT and QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree in Social work.
• Registration with the relevant professional body for the province of Ontario.
• Minimum of 4 years post-masters working experience.
• Able to provide counselling within a short-term framework.
• Canadian Work Permit Required.
• Previous EAP experience is an asset.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Provide the first point of contact for employees.
• Provide single session and ongoing counselling cases on the digital platform.
• Manage appointment bookings and video sessions with service users.
• Perform risk assessment and tracking.
• Case manage referrals to third parties/partner providers.
• Provide manager consults as needed.
• Accurately capture all information on the database pertinent to the clinical management of the case.
• Provide services in a professional and respectful manner.
• Adhere to all clinical protocols, standards, and procedures.
• Bilingual – English and French
