We are searching for an experienced Project Manager for our client’s Hospital Facility.

Our client is committed to providing excellence in specialized mental health and addictions services by leading the advancement and delivery of compassionate care. The 300 bed hospital provides an extensive range of acute and longer-term psychiatric inpatient as well as outpatient services.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure alignment to strategic plan and key initiatives and act as a key point of contact for coordination of project activities;
  • Lead and / or support communications and stakeholder engagement for key projects including monitoring and reporting on progress, problems and solutions of the project to all stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriate;
  • Oversee all elements of project approach and plan development, as well as implementing all necessary processes and practices to ensure the hospital is delivering project objectives and successfully achieving the project’s goals;
  • Lead and / or support the development of materials, such as reports, briefing notes, requests for proposals, presentations, data analyses, project control documents, including status reports, risk / issue analyses, decision documents, reports and project plans and communications for the project(s) for all levels of the organization and/or partners as required;
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the governance structure established to oversee the project’s deliverables;
  • Lead and / or support working groups that are integral to the success of the project(s);
  • Support multi-disciplinary project team through all phases of the project life cycle, providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of projects;
  • Support project research, literature reviews and data / information gathering to enhance subject-matter knowledge relevant to the project.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree is required, preferably a masters’ level in healthcare administration, or equivalent experience; registration with the Canadian College of Health Leaders is also considered an asset
  • Change management and project management training and certification (e.g. PMP) completed.  Three years’ experience in a similar role i.e. leading large, complex projects,  in a hospital or the healthcare system, and five years’ experience as a project manager
  • Experience with managing and monitoring project budgets; current experience with project management software and tools, and leading project teams
  • Proven research and analytical skills; strong team building, interpersonal and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated presentation, communication and business writing skills
  • Proven ability to adapt readily to change with strong organizational and planning skills
  • Results oriented work ethic, works independently, undertakes tasks needed to accomplish work objectives and delivers quality, consistent and timely results
  • Models and promotes core ethical practice, values, and reflects an optimistic and positive attitude.
