Love your job again! Our client is searching for the right individual to join their collaborative team. If you want to grow your skills and expand your depth of practice while giving back to the community, this is a role to consider. Contributing to the well-being and lives of clients on a daily basis, while changing the face of healthcare and rehabilitation.

Collaborate with clients, their families and the inter-professional health care team, developing individualized treatment plans which focus on enabling participation in activities of daily life maximizing client independence, health and quality of life.

Assist with the implementation of occupational therapy services for individuals injured in motor vehicle and/or work place accidents. Services can include, yet are not limited to:

• Comprehensive In-home and Community Situational Assessments
• Development of treatment plans under Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefit regulations
• Performance of disability management assessments, treatments and Return to work services
• Discharge planning
• In-Home assessments
• Attendant care assessments
• On-site workplace and ergonomic assessments
• Return to work strategies and plans
• Complex injury management
• Assistive device recommendation

Your personal and professional skill set includes the following:

• Dedication to and excitement for a collaborative approach, commitment to the challenge of working with clients suffering from acute and chronic workplace injuries and eagerness to be part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• A minimum of 3-years’ experience is required.
• Registration with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. Membership in the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists, Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists and World Federation of Occupational Therapists.
• CDMP certification considered an asset
• Understanding the detail required for insurance reporting, not deterred by mandatory processes.
• Strong communication skills, both within and outside of treatment sessions and as part of an interdisciplinary team, with a respect for confidentiality requirements.
• A desire for continuous growth and learning, committed to a high quality of evidence- based practice and ongoing professional development.
