Human Resource Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As the subject matter expert provides expertise and guidance to ensure that salary and benefits is competitive and in compliance with applicable provincial, and compensation framework and salary administration guidelines.
- Ensures job descriptions are current and are reflective of the role accountabilities. Is responsible for all job evaluation /classification of positions as per salary administration guidelines.
- Supports organization redesign by providing guidance in the development of organization structure job descriptions (accountabilities, education, competencies, and experience), salary structure and Human Resources plan.
- Promote continuous improvement in benefits administration.
- Prepares annual census data file for the Benefits service provider, participates in meetings with consultants regarding annual renewal, communicates new premium rates to all employees and Human Resources (HR) team, updates Benefit summary sheets and master benefit sheets.
- Troubleshoots difficult claim issues for employees with benefit consultants and the benefits service provider.
- Organizes Pension Plan information sessions for employees, troubleshoots questions regarding process with representative, updates HR Team on any changes, sets up annual administrative sessions.
- Supports the development and implementation of recruitment strategies, the annual human resources plan, wellness strategies, psychological safety, and support for staff.
- Provides support to the equity, diversity & inclusion lead with the implementation of initiatives and ensures all Human Resources activity is aligned.
- Completes annual OHA salary survey – regional, management and executive, and other salary surveys as required.
- Responds to applicable inquiries from employees, managers, service providers.
- Is accountable for ensuring that HR/Labour policies are current and up to date.
- Works in a manner that is aligned with strategic plan and in compliance with employee and client safety practices, policies and procedures.
- Ensures a work environment that is conducive to Harassment-Free Workplace policy.
REQUIREMENTS:
- University Degree in Human Resources.
- Experience in Human Resources with a minimum of 3 years working in Mental Health and/or Healthcare.
- CCP designation.
- Working experience with job evaluation and classification, pay equity and related provincial legislations.
- Ability to present complex data in a simplified and easy to understand format.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills and ability to adjust communication styles for various audiences.
- Excellent time management skills to achieve key deliverables.
