Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for recruiting, onboarding, training, coaching, and managing all full-time and part-time staff and volunteers within program areas.
  • Ensuring staff and volunteers are accountable to the delivery of high quality services through excellent relationships with program participants.
  • Providing leadership and strategic vision to program service delivery and future directions to meet the needs of program participants and the community.
  • Researching and documenting community trends and service gaps and recommend, develop and plan programs and service delivery strategies.
  • Managing and evaluating programs against defined financial and programmatic outcomes, goals and objectives.
  • Recommend quality improvements and best practice strategies to current programs, processes, strategies, tools and ensure implementation of approved changes.
  • Developing, managing and monitoring approved budgets and program financial operations to meet contractual obligations, service targets and financial targets and to achieve effective and efficient operations.
  • Developing and maintaining effective community relationships and partnerships relevant to the program and market and promote programs to achieve program and financial targets and to support coordinated, integrated service delivery.
  • Ensuring compliance of staff with Health and Safety, Child Protection policies. Perform duties and tasks that contribute to a clean, secure and safe environment.

 

Qualifications:

  • Annual registration in a professional organization as required by law.
  • Standard First Aid and CPR-C, Child Welfare & Police Security Clearance.
  • Mental Health and/or Psychological First Aid, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Suicide Intervention Certification preferred
  • WHMIS Certification.
  • University Degree in a Human Services discipline or equivalent.
  • 4-5 years of directly related professional experience in program delivery and program and financial management and administration
  • Experience working with individuals, children and families from a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to address psycho-social, family-functioning, parenting, mental health/addictions and other needs.
  • Demonstrated skills and knowledge related to social determents of health, mental health and well-being, trauma recovery, individual and family assessment, case management, group work, group facilitation, program promotion, program planning and outcome evaluation.
